Since 2010, Jakobsen Atelier has been a family project dedicated to sharing their passion for collecting applied arts. With years of experience designing products and interiors, they have transformed their expertise into a unique endeavour, opening a creative studio in a 40 m² space.
The atelier is located in a residential building on Stavební street, a brick structure from the early 20th century that underwent extensive renovation led by the architectural studio PLUS MÍNUS NULA. Positioned on a corner, the building is designed to stand out as a landmark along both Špitálka and Stavební streets, with a façade that balances subtlety and elegance.
The ground-floor space, once home to the legendary pub "U Zelené žáby" (At the Green Frog), was redesigned by Martin Jakobsen. The space pays homage to glassmaking traditions and innovations in how tastings of wine, cocktails, and bar drinks function. But glass here is used not only in drinking vessels but also in lighting and artistic decorations. A striking feature of the interior is its custom-made ash wood paneling and a half-tonne concrete counter with a glass blank inset used in the production of drinking glasses.
The atelier is a uniquely designed modern environment that can be creatively used for private meetings and corporate presentations. Jakobsen Atelier is furnished with high-end equipment and has an optimal capacity of 2–4 people.
