The AMOEBA Conference Room is located in building A of the Central Zone in the Technology Park Brno (TPB), and stands out thanks to its unusual shape, glass walls, and outdoor terrace offering fine views of Brno.
The Technology Park Brno (TPB) was established on 14 May 1993, as a joint venture between Bovis Limited and the City of Brno. The project was planned on more than 120 hectares of land, including the campus of the Brno University of Technology, with the aim of providing office spaces for technology companies. Construction in the Czech Technology Park Brno was carried out in the Central Zone, which follows the original urban concept of the TPB from the 1990s. The first two completed buildings (A and B) of the Central Zone are part of the first phase of construction, with a total of six administrative buildings (designed by HKR Architects). Architects and engineers from K4 took over the project during the incomplete permit-granting phase and led it to completion, including managing the construction process.
The office buildings feature a modern, dynamically shaped layout and facades. Each building consists of two three-story office wings connected by a shared communication hall, with restroom facilities and two underground parking levels. A distinctive feature of the facade design is the protruding glass panels with printed patterns in the colour of the building, inspired by the structure of butterfly wings magnified under an electron microscope – symbolizing the high-tech companies in TPB. This motif and colour scheme extend into the interior, which is designed in light tones with an emphasis on colourful accents.
Building A, where the management of TPB is located, has retail units on the ground floor and other tenants on the upper floors, including the fully equipped AMOEBA conference space on the second floor. The main conference hall has a seating capacity of 25, or 50 in a theatre setup. The capacity increases when the entire space is used. The facility includes a foyer, kitchenette, coffee machine, coat storage, air conditioning, and an outdoor terrace. The AMOEBA room can be used for various corporate events, training sessions, presentations, lectures, conferences, and even corporate barbecues on the terrace in the summer.
